The Nova Scotia Talent Trust (NSTT) will recognize the 2016 Scholarship and Special Award recipients at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13 at Halifax Central Library in a ceremony attended by His Honour Brigadier-General the Honourable J.J. Grant, CMM, ONS, CD (Ret’d), Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia and Honourary Chair of the NSTT.
This year’s Special Award winners were chosen from a field of 46 individual scholarship recipients representing the artistic disciplines of music, literary arts, visual arts, video/new media, dance, and theatre.
The Special Awards Ceremony will be held at the Paul O'Regan Hall at the Central Library. “We are looking forward to host the ceremony in a space that is open to the public and to celebrate the recipient's achievements with all Nova Scotians,” states Jacqueline Steudler, NSTT Executive Director.
For the last 72 years the NSTT has continued to support emerging Nova Scotian artists as they pursue their studies towards the ultimate goal of establishing professional careers in the arts.
The NSTT has two deadline dates coming up in 2017: March 1st for Spring/Summer study and May 1st for Fall/Winter study. For more information, please visit their website at www.nstalenttrust.ns.ca.
