Gwyneth Christoffel at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival

“I am traveling to Chicago this Friday to
Still of 'The Last Leaf'
attend the screening of my film The Last Leaf at the Chicago International Children's Film Festival. I've been invited to do a Q & A following the screening on Saturday afternoon Nov 1 and will also be able to see many films and meet filmmakers and film festival programmers from many different countries. This same festival screened Recipe for Love a couple of years ago and because of it, other film festivals around the world also chose to screen it.”

http://www.timeraiser.ca/halifax-event-page.html

HALIFAX, NS- It’s almost time for the 3rd Halifax Timeraiser taking place on Thursday, October 9th at the Halifax Club in downtown Halifax. Do you have your tickets? Halifax joins cities across Canada in raising volunteer hours for nonprofits in their community. Timeraiser is a silent art auction where people bid on art while supporting great causes. At Timeraiser, artists get paid, nonprofits connect to skilled volunteers and skilled volunteers put their time to good use while having a great time doing it! The event kicks off at 5:30pm- so you can drop by after work with friends and bid on original artworks by local artists with volunteer hours instead of dollars.
Hali-famous Vanessa Furlong will be our MC for the evening and award winning Hip Hop sensation; AMBITION will perform during the evening. There will also be LIVE painting happening throughout the night by Halifax’s favourite artist Nick Brunt- enjoy watching a work of art be created right in front of your eyes and bid on it too! We’ll have lots of other fun surprises to keep you engaged and having fun throughout the night so make sure to pick up your ticket today and enjoy a fun night out, all while supporting 20 local artists and 20 nonprofit organizations for just $20!

Remember to bring your mobile devices to our event- at Timeraiser we are all about using technology to connect and the evening of the event will be no exception as we’ll have our Instagram Photobooth set up for you to photograph yourself and friends having fun and be entered to win a number of prizes including a night at the Prince George Hotel, a show at Neptune Theatre for two, a $100 pre-Paid Visa Card from the Downtown Halifax Business Commission and more!

This year Timeraiser is celebrating its 11th anniversary in Canada. To date, Timeraiser has hosted 55 events which have raised over 135,000 volunteer hours and invested over $915,000 in the careers of artists. This is the third year the Timeraiser returns to Halifax. Halifax joins THREE cities across Canada for Timeraiser Fall Edition. The season will wrap up with the Edmonton and Ottawa Timeraisers on Nov 8th, and by its close we will have auctioned 50 pieces of art and raised 10,000 volunteer hours.
