Artist Bio:
Nicholas Higgs is currently the baritone section leader at the Metropolitan United Church, acted as assistant stage manager for The Bells of Baddeck, and graduated from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music in 2018.
He's performed in a number of churches and senior citizens’ homes throughout Pictou County and Halifax/Dartmouth. He's a former member of the Pictou District Honour Choir and the NNEC Concert Choir and Concert Band. He's performed as a soloist with En Chor East and Seton Cantata Choir, sang with the Nova Scotia Provincial Men’s Choir, Nova Voce, and played operatic roles. Higgs has received a number of awards while participating in the New Glasgow, Kiwanis and provincial music festivals. He is a four-time recipient of New Glasgow’s Junior Cup, a recipient of successive Nova Scotia Talent Trust scholarships and was the 2014 male recipient of the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for NNEC.
