Chloe Hart and Aliah Schwartz will perform at the Montreal Fringe Festival in June 2016

Chloe Hart and Aliah Schwartz

Aliah Schwartz, a student at Concordia University, and Chloe Hart, a student at École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, began their artistic partnership shortly after moving in together. Despite having both grown up in Nova Scotia, the pair hardly knew each other when deciding to be roommates.

Throughout their artistic process, Schwartz and Hart developed a starkly aggressive yet compassionate physical vocabulary, as well as an inseparable friendship.

Their piece, entitled Cornstarch and Other Dilemmas, is an exploration of coexistence, and the provoking potential of a hairdryer. More info on their website at

The show will be presented at the Studio Multimédia du Conservatoire 4750 Ave Henri-Julien, Montreal.
