Highlights from our 2019 Special Awards Ceremony
We celebrated our scholarship and Special Award recipients on December 11, 2019, in the wonderful Paul O’Regan Hall at the Halifax Central Library.
Once again, our Special Awards Ceremony was an afternoon of performances, presentations, and a joyful gathering of friends and family. We were grateful to have in attendance His Honour The Honourable Arthur J. We’d like to thank everyone who helped make our ceremony a great success, especially a big thank you to Jennifer Fall-Clarke and the staff at the Central Library, Jenna Robar for her opening and closing Mi'kmaq songs, our MC Mike Hirschbach and our stage director Rebecca Wolfe for volunteering their time and knowledge, thank you to Basil AV that made sure that all the slides and videos played at the correct time and Spider Video for the Facebook live stream, and again congratulations to all the scholarship and Special Award recipients.

2020 Talent Trust Scholarship Application Deadlines Announced
2020 Talent Trust
Scholarship Application Deadlines
We’re pleased to announce that we are ready to receive new scholarship applications for 2020.
The deadline for scholarship applications for Spring/Summer studies is fast approaching!
The scholarship application process will again happen online, thanks to the generous support by Code & Mortar, a Halifax based web design and development company and the Support4Culture program.
We advise applicants to read the submission guidelines carefully and to submit their applications early since there are a number of changes for film, music, visual arts, dance, circus arts, literary arts, and theatre this year.
Scholarship application deadlines are:
- Spring/Summer study: 5:00 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST)
March 1, 2020 (for studies between May 1 and August 31, 2020)
- Fall/Winter study: 5:00 p.m. Atlantic Daylight Saving Time (ADT)
May 1, 2020 (for studies between September 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021)
Please help us spread the word: If you know a Nova Scotian student that is studying in the arts, let them know about this opportunity and our March 1 and May 1 deadlines.
