Claire Ahern, NSTT's 2014 Raymond Simpson Award winner will be representing Nova Scotia in the woodwind category at the National Music Festival happening in Edmonton,
August 13-15, 2015

From the National Music Festival Press Release:
To compete at the National Music Festival, the musicians had to first perform and receive a first-place standing in one of Canada’s 233 local music festivals, and then perform and be recommended to Nationals from their Provincial Music Festival. They will compete for cash awards in nine different categories: voice, piano, strings, classical guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion, chamber groups, and musical theatre.
