This short gives the viewer a glimpse into the exciting 50/50 fundraiser that became all the buzz in eastern Nova Scotia this year. CHASE THE ACE is a slice of life film shining light on the community, and believing you're only 1 number away from that dream home, boat or trip!

August 13-15, 2015

From the National Music Festival Press Release:
To compete at the National Music Festival, the musicians had to first perform and receive a first-place standing in one of Canada’s 233 local music festivals, and then perform and be recommended to Nationals from their Provincial Music Festival. They will compete for cash awards in nine different categories: voice, piano, strings, classical guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion, chamber groups, and musical theatre.

Symphony Nova Scotia explores emerging, unconventional, and cutting-edge symphonic music as part of the 2015 Open Waters New Music Festival. Hear our premiere performances of four compelling new works: Canadian composer Jeffrey Ryan's Juno-nominated Pangaea, Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina's mystical Piano Concerto, Anton Webern's meditative Symphony, Op. 21, and the world premiere of a brand-new composition from Halifax's own Jerome Blais, written especially for our orchestra.
