Synopsis:
There's no job too big for the volunteers at the Havre Boucher community centre. This short gives the viewer a glimpse into the exciting 50/50 fundraiser that became all the buzz in eastern Nova Scotia this year. CHASE THE ACE is a slice of life film shining light on the community, and believing you're only 1 number away from that dream home, boat or trip!

Film students are eligible for the Lunenburg Doc Fest Bursary

If you know a student, residing in Nova Scotia, who is planning to attend postsecondary film studies, please let them now about  the $1,000 bursary being offered by Lunenburg Doc Fest.

Congratulations LaLa Lee for winning 3rd place at the 2015 National Music Festival

Nova Scotia had some wonderful young amateur musicians win at the 45th annual Federation of Canadian Music Festivals' National Music Festival

Third place award ($500) went to LaLa Lee, piano (Halifax)
and violinist TaTan Huang (Hubley)

Talented youth from across the country have spent the past year giving their all in competing and winning at their local and provincial music festivals, culminating in the recent National Music Festival in Edmonton (Alberta), August 13-15. 

Each province could send only one representative for each of the nine disciplines: brass, piano, woodwinds, musical theatre, classical guitar, voice, percussion, chamber groups, and strings. A total of 57 musicians attended the competition representing 10 provinces.
