Talent Trust Alumni Help the Scotia Festival of Music Celebrate its 40th Anniversary.

From May 26 – June 9, Scotia Festival of Music presents two-weeks of chamber music festival boasting over fifty public events, featuring international talent of the highest caliber, including Talent Trust scholarship recipients: Peter Allen, Denise Djokic, Marc Djokic, Ben Duinker, India Yeshe Gailey, and LaLa Lee.

Enjoy their milestone year with concerts, recitals, open rehearsals, masterclasses, coaching sessions, as well as educational opportunities through their Young Artist Program which allows young gifted musicians to enroll and study for two weeks with some of the world's best classical musicians.

Peter Allen to perform at Peggy Curkum Music Room, Halifax

Peter Allen, piano (former NSTT scholarship recipient) and Patricia Creighton, flute will perform on

Wednesday, January 20 at 7 p.m. at

the Peggy Corkum Music Room 

They will play Schubert's Introduction and Variations for Flute and Piano in E minder, D 802, the Sonata for Flute and Piano by Hindemith and Duo for Flute and Piano by Aaron Copland.

Patricia Creighton, Principal Flute with Symphony Nova Scotia, has performed widely, particularly in Atlantic Canada, and has released several CDs. Peter Allen, a professor of piano at Dalhousie, received his MMus from Yale University. He is also an award-winning  composer. As a concert pianist, his live performances and radio recordings have taken him into many homes in the Maritimes and throughout Canada where he is known for his captivating interpretations.
