Holiday Favourite The Nutcracker Returns with Talent Trust Dance Scholarship Recipients in the Cast

Holiday favourite The Nutcracker returns to the stage in Halifax December 7-16, with a number of Talent Trust dance scholarship recipients in the cast: Anais Grant Church, Ellery Jackson, Vivian Macnab, Alexis Milligan, Maggie Oates-Johnson, and Mollie Oates-Johnson.

Leica Hardy, who has taught many Talent Trust scholarship recipients through the Leica Hardy School of Dance, celebrates her 28th year as the director/choreographer.

Symphony Nova Scotia, in partnership with Halifax Dance and Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, presents the magical tale, which features larger-than-life puppets, spirited dancing, and the beloved music of Tchaikovsky.

Dancers Ellery Jackson, Vivian Macnab, Maggie Oates-Johnson, Mollie Oates-Johnson Perform in KiDanCo Spring 2018 Season

A talented group of choreographers and emerging dancers hit the stage when KiDanCo, the resident pre-professional company for emerging dance artists at the Leica Hardy School of Dance present their 7th annual Spring Season of contemporary dance repertoire.

May 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Matinee May 13 at 2:30 p.m.

KiDanCo Presents Studio Sightings: An Open Public Rehearsal

KiDanCo presents Studio Sightings - an open public rehearsal

What better way to mark International Dance Day than an open public rehearsal? Leica Hardy School of Dance invites you to bring a donation on Saturday, April 28 to see rehearsals and performances of six works, including two premieres. 

Among the talented group are a number of Talent Trust scholarship recipients:

  • Dvorak Serenades by Leica Hardy
  • Upstream by Leica Hardy

Performances run from 4:00 - 6:30pm in Room #5 at the North Woodside Community Centre, 230 Pleasant Street, Dartmouth.

The company will present the works of Kendra Armstrong, Ruth-Ellen Kroll Jackson (former NSTT scholarship recipient), Darryl Tracy and Artistic Director, Leica Hardy in this dynamic program of original works.
